Moscato is the most widespread Piedmontese white berry vine, and absolutely the most cultivated one in the Belbo Valley. It matures early and among the native vines is the first to be harvested, in September. Vinified pure as Asti or Moscato d’Asti, it produces aromatic sweet white wines of great elegance and with unmistakable characteristics.
PROCESSING
The grapes are crushed immediately after harvesting with soft pressing. The must is processed in a controlled atmosphere. Storage in a cell fridge for at least 2 months and fermentation in autoclave at controlled temperature. Bottling, a few months after the harvest, it is performed to preserve its freshness and its aromatic characteristic.
TASTING NOTES
Bright straw yellow colour with greenish hues. Perfume abundant, persistent and typical It expresses precise undertones of orange flowers and sage. Taste sweet, fairly aromatic with marked perception of exotic fruits.
RECOMMENDED PAIRING
With fruit pies, leavened pastries, summer or exotic fruit.
